The Castle called as Castelinho in portuguese is beautiful, but is much nicer out of the castle, because you pay R$ 6 reais per person to get in a castle. It is nothing more than a house with antique furniture and the famous apple pie , it is also rip off, R$17 reais for a slice??? the tasty is not so special. Look around the house. It is free and is still much more beautiful.

I’ve been told by one of the locals that this building was one of the earliest in Gramodo and Canela, so on our way back from Caracol parque to Gramado we stopped here and spent half an hour inside. There is a R$10 entrance fee to see the inside and as mentioned by some of the reviewers, even if you want just to eat or drink something in its restaurant, the fee should be paid, and it is not fair I think. By the way when you go inside, there are 2 floors with less than 10 rooms to visit. All furnitures are kept very well and I should admit that it gave us a very good feeling. Finally we went to the restaurant in the first floor to test the famous apple pie. Me and my wife couldn’t finish a piece of it, since it had been sweetened to much. It has a very beautiful view outside and you can take some good photos there.

Absolutely ridiculous! In order to eat a piece of cake at exorbitant prices you still need to pay the entrance fee?
They should be ashamed of themselves!
Besides, a Brazilian lady (who loves loads of sugar) told me that the cake was a single paste of sugar. Even she was not able to eat it.

I've taken the "tour" at least 3 past times, and this time I just went there for the apfelstrudel (which is not cheap), but I was informed that I would have pay the entrance even if I just would go to the restaurant.
That's an absurd.
The ticket price is absurd for what is there to see. If they ever change the policy of the restaurant, maybe I'll go back there some time, but for now they're just loosing customers.

Simply this place is not for me. You have to pay 10 reais just in order TO ENTER THE ROOM. Once inside, you have TO PAY AGAIN 22 reais to eat a tiny suggary peace of cake. What?? People crazy.........

The sightseeing is nice but everything else it's just not worth it. It's absurdly overpriced, the apple strudel is shameful and the variety simply doesn't exist. To add insult to injury you have to pay just to get in the coffee area and you only find out that the place only take cash on the line in a little room to pay. Really, don't bother.

The place is simple, nothing different. The apfelstrudell is very expensive and you will pay 35 reais to eat it. Really, just keep going in your trip, don't bother to stop over there.

This was my favorite place in the region. A small castle constructed with no nails.
The visit is very quick. 15 minutes is enough. It is beautiful in the inside and outside. If you go there, you must have the German apple pie.
If can get a taxi to get there, for about R$30 or go with the tourist bus

entrance R$10,00
apple pie R$20,00
Coffee R$6,00

Castelinho is a very pretty house that has a tour to see the inside of the building that was kept intact from the time it was built (even with the furniture). After the tour, you can have an apfelstrudel that is made there with the recipe kept in the family that owns the house since it was built.
