This museum is near the main plaza of Tequila. It was the family home of the Sauza family who had an early distillery. The house is in good shape with a pleasant, arched courtyard, interesting tilework, and many antiques. A guide will take you through and ours spoke very good English.…

Tried to visit this museum twice, but they were closed. Even though we talked to the docent who assured us they would be open 10-5, they were closed. We asked at our hotel and were told that it’s a common complaint that it’s often closed when it’s supposed to be open. If you see it open, go in right then, don’t wait and come back!…

This is a small house turned into a museum by the grandson of the Tequila Sauza founder. They tell you the whole family story from the start up to the point of selling the brand and then a new effort to enter the market with a new "artesanal" brand (Los Abuelos / Fortaleza). At the end of the tour you get your chance to try "Los Abuelos" white tequila and "Los Abuelos" Reposado tequila. Highly recommended museum.…

They wanted to charge us to visit but let us walk around one we bought a bottle of tequila. Unless you know about the Mexican history on tequila, you won't really recognize anyone or anything, especially because it's all in Spanish.
