The museum and historical park make for a wonderful day while in the ancient city of Kamphaengphet. In fact, I enjoy it much more than the Sukhothai Historical park.

Recommend this very well presented historical presentation of Kamphaeng Phet. Takes about an hour, easy to view, excellent English descriptions with a generous array of artifacts and factual information. Without hoards of competing tourists. Well worth your time to visit in a relaxing way.

I wish I could have taken photos inside but that was not allowed. Still this is a great place to visit. The walking Buddha is incredible as are the other Buddhas.

A nice, small, quiet museum. It is better if you read up on KP history before you go to get the most out of the significance of the artifacts. Don't be put off by the dual pricing system. Treat it as 100 baht entry fee...More

The museum is not large but has a wealth of information about the history of Kamphaeng Phet and Thailand. It is adjacent to a large site of temple ruins and it also has the ruins of an ancient temple on its own grounds. Quite a...More

Entry fee is 100 baht if you are a foreigner. If you're Thai however, the entry is nothing. The first part of the museum as you walk in is very nice. The rooms are air conditioned and clean and the displays show some interesting information...More
