After not riding for a long time, this was a good experience. I am not going to talk about the quality of the bikes, because mine was good for use! A very nice tour of the Ukunda villages, learnt lots about nature. A visit to the Bush doctor ( quite a funny man) was good. Carry loads of water. Get... More

With 3 of my friends we visited Diani Bikes to hire 4 mountain bikes for 2 days as we wanted to get our own trip, cycling to Shimba Hills the nearest national reserve in the southcoast. That was an epic fail, we hired the bikes on a Friday late afternoon, didn't used them that day but just brought them back... More

This bike-trip is perfect for everyone who wants to see and learn something from the kenyan people and their culture. It takes about 3-4 hours but there are several breaks so that is doesnt get exhausting. We visited a typical local market, a primary school and a small village with a traditional doctor. There were good mountainbikes provided so no... More

I want to state that our guides were very personable, kind to us, and led a good tour with lots of information about village life in Diani Beach. This is not about the guides- they were great. This is about what the experience is- to take 20 white people on bikes and bring them through the dirt roads of Africa... More

The operations, logistics, equipment and itinerary of the company cannot be faulted but...the whole tour is a staged affair to make money through poverty tourism. We felt like an inconvenience on the community... Issues: - Philanthropy can change the world so why is only 5% of Diani Bikes' profits going to support the school they use as a key selling... More

Definitely a must-do tour when in Kenya. A real experience of true Kenyan culture. We went by car - it was a private tour just for the two of uf. The guide and the driver were very kind, professional, they made us feel safe and they offered lots of information - very informative as well as heartbreaking when you visit... More

A great bike ride through three small villages, where we visited the school and the little children sang for us. Later we head to the next village where an elderly woman shows us how to cook the local porridge. In the last village we visit the medicine man. Throughout the tour, we had a fantastic local guide, which tells about... More

We hired bikes for 24 hours and it was great! Up and down the beach first thing in the morning - didn't fancy a tour - great way to see more of the town you can't see in your car. Highly recommend!

If you go to Diani Beach and want to experience the true culture of the area, then this is the way to see it. You have the choice of a morning or afternoon tour and a choice of several places to go. We chose the morning tour, which I highly recommend, especially during the hotter months. The tour leaves at... More
