Lovely Pier

Nice place for a stroll. We chatted to a couple of people fishing at the end of the pier. Great to look back to Saltburn when you reach the end.

Waste an hour or two promenading along Saltburn pier and marvel at the engineering of the Victorian era. Watch the waves forever rolling into land or the surfers trying to ride the waves and on a cold blustery day just stand for a while and let the cobwebs blow away. A lovely pier.

What can one say about a short pier projecting in to the North Sea on a cold blustery November day. It looks like a pier smells like a pier sounds lie a pier, it is a pier. If your there you have to walk to he end because that's what you do but your not going travel far to do... More

Whilst there's nothing terrible to be said about the pier there isn't anything spectacular either. It's not too long so good for youngest family members and there's the obligatory arcade at the beach end. Views are good!

Piers are not so common on the North-East coast, so the one at Saltburn is a bit of a rarity. Even in a gale force wind with rain lashing down, or even horizontally, the feeling of walking down to the end of a pier is so evocative of being at the seaside. Great reminder of the heyday of the tourist... More

A chilly walk but wonderful views. Great to walk along the wooden planks and take in the views. At the end is an amusement arcade which my kids took delight in as well. Beautifully preserved, a great piece of history. Car parking available near to the pier.

We enjoy walking along the pier when we visit Saltburn. You can watch the surfers as well as the people fishing. The views all around are so special. Well worth a visit when the Yarn Bombers have displayed their creations on the rails.

This is a wonderful example of Victorian engineering, although the pier is a lot shorter now than when it was originally built due to adverse weather conditions in the past. We always take a slow walk along and back taking in the atmosphere and watching the numerous surfers down below. On turning back you get a great view of the... More

Called into Saltburn for a quiet break and somewhere to have a drink. The pier is so lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed watching the surfers either side chancing their luck to find a good sized wave. I like the fact that the pier has been well maintained and is popular with both adults an kids. Recommended.
