Lovely walk around the mere Footpath flat and even, does get a little muddy in wet weather Popular with dog walkers, but also suitable for families or just for a peaceful walk Grassed area and some benches Coffee shop and toilets

On visiting the site.you will notice the main activity is walking around the lake - it took us around half an hour at a saunter - ideal for dog-walkers or nature lovers. A very pleasant place! Truly "away from it all"

Great place for walk or run. Park run here Saturday mornings and water sports on offfer too. Please don’t go swimming though- don’t take those risks. This place is cared for by a community trust. Pay for the car parking and take your litter home...More

Chelsea, The lake is owned by the Stoke On Trent Angling Society so you would need to ask them this question. They can be found using Google (Trip advisor doesn't allow posting links to sites)

The car park gates are locked in the evening, in the summer this is at 8:00. The other gates are open.

The fishing rights at Astbury Mere are owned by the Stoke on Trent Angling Society and to fish at the Mere you must be a member. They can be found on line using google
