Stunning place, certainly deserves more visitors than it gets. The mountain hut inside the park is very run down but has an incredible view. Worth staying if you bring something warm. Zimparks aren't that useful with information/hikes/maps. Better of talking to accomodation owners in Chimanimani.

I loved the general atmosphere of Chimanimani- it is such a great haven to literally get away from everything modern. The town is quite shanty but you find everything you need to survive, however do take your own supplies to be safe. In terms of...More

We have hiked in Chimanimani mountains for 3 days and it was absolutely brilliant. We went in October 2017, travelled from Harare to Chimanimani by local minibuses, it took a full day but we did reach Chimanimani before sunset, it was a tiresome journey but...More

Not dry or dusty, these mountains are truly beautiful and rugged. I started walking at the Outward Bound school and headed up into the mists of the rocky crags only to have sunny skies as I ascended. Stock up of grub at the very good...More

My wife and I spent two days in the mountains hiking with a local guide. Collen has been walking in the hills here since childhood and knows all the best spots to take you to. We had two lovely days visiting all the famous sites;...More

I've been up into the Chimanis 4 times, and I love it every time, dry or wet, hot or cold. It's always beautiful up there. There are enough peaks, caves, and swimming spots to make it worth it to stay longer or return later on....More

Amazing view of the mountains. The hike to the hut was tiring but exciting. Enjoyed the walk to the skeleton pass and enjoy the cool waters at the natural pools. Orgasmic experience.

I would not hesitate to stay at The Frog and Fern again. Look them up online for more info.
