Big dam in kannur dist . Need more improvement in dam garden. After flood no renovation yet started. But very calm and quite area to sit and relax.

In evening you can go for 5 10 mins , nothing much to explore , even if you miss this place don't worry , its not a point for attraction , simple dam nothing else.

there is nothing there-- absolutely nothing. No guide/restaurant/access/park. It's all ruined. But if you have time while coming/going to Kannur you can take diversion. It will cost you 1 hour from main road and if you love seeing old dam - go else skip.

its worth to go if its full, post good rains it is worth to go. Take car and food items along. And teach kids about the dam

This is a irrigation project, a dam constructed to supply water for agricultural purpose, but they have turned this to a good park too. Not that much of lovely experience, but ok ok place to spend just an evening, here a small park for children and big statues to visit. One big tunnel was there which has been constructed during... it is good place to visit .The name has been given the memmory and respect of king kerala varma pazhassi raja. He was the first man did the battle against British east india company . Besides the dam there is a park and play area

Don't waste your time..last mansoon time all the dam area and parks are collapsed ..not yet done any renovation work by government.it was very sad scene when you see this area now..it was one of the most attractive tourist place late 1980.. if someone come to my house I used to with them to this place.now very shame to go.becose... More

Last year, the dam overflowed and destroyed most of the scenic park. So today, we have just a sad view of the destroyed park. Even the officials are not bothered. There are much more scenic dams elsewhere. There was a fee counter, but nobody was interested to collect it. There was a small stall for refreshments. There were also signs... More
