A lovely time was had by the Flood family during our visit to the Curraghmore House and Gardens. The Shell house is an added treat and worth a visit. Alan is a great guide and made our trip very special. Thank you Shelley and Saffron

Wow what a place! Beautiful house, beautiful grounds and an amazing location. Loved our tour and Alan who showed us around was fantastic. It was far more of an experience than we had expected and I cannot thank him enough. He's a real credit to Curraghmore. I have left with amazing, wonderful memories. Definitely recommend a visit.

Upon arrival after a difficult time finding it (poorly marked) and a rather curt welcome from someone who roared up to us as we walked towards the door, we were finally shown the way to sig up for the tour. There are no signs so we can hardly be faulted for wandering around trying to find our way. After that... More

We arrived at Curraghmore House just in time for the tour, at first it looked like we were visiting a relic of a house however once inside we were pleasantly surprised to find rich history, fantastic treasures and tales of a great family. Our guide, Basil, was friendly and knowledgable (and very forgiving of the fact we only had english... More

Having read glowing reviews about Curraghmore House I was determined to put it on our to do list on our recent holiday to Waterford. As a family we like to tour historic properties/stately homes but on this occasion we should have given it a miss!!! There are only 2 tours of the house available, 11am & 2pm. We were charged... I spent a great few hours here. I loved the house, the fact it is still lived in by the family, so the contents are all authentic and original to the house. The guide was terrific and full of interesting historical details and stories which I love. The grounds are great too, and the scones and cream were very nice!

Yesterday I brought my walking group to Curraghmore, and everyone was absolutely blown away, as I knew they would be. This wonderful estate is a living museum of a way of life that is largely gone. The big house (still a family home) the courtyard, outbuildings, farm, gardens - all on a huge scale and beautiful. We had a walk... More
