I visited Mystery Island, which is at the southeastern end of the Vanuatu archipelago, as part of a cruise on Legend of the Seas. I wasn't sure what to expect but as the ship neared Mystery Island the sight was spectacular. I have seen some magnificent ocean colors in places like the Caribbean, Great Barrier Reef and Torres Strait -... More

This is the island with zero population, in other words, no one permanently lives here. It's basically an island for cruise tourists. The locals come and set up stalls and sell their wares. There are also excursions given by the localss such as snorkeling, transparent canoes, and boat rides. There are little kids dressed in native attire with whom you... More

The family went on its first cruise on the Explorer, me, hubby and 3 children. It was paradise. The water was about 27. There were sandy beaches, palms and locals singing and selling different wares. Not much to do here other than water stuff. So we went snorkelling with a local tour, the ship wanted almost $500 just for us... More

If you try to find Mystery Island on a map chances are you won't find it...but I swear it exists and I've been there...and you should go to. Pretty much the only way to get there is by boat, cruise ship, or turbo-prop. Mostly it's a cruise destination for ships in the Pacific. Locals are typically flown in (and land... More

Traveled her by way of Royal Caribbean port of call; visited on a cloudy-cool day with occasional sun rays; beautiful small island surrounded by turquoise beach with great snorkeling; take a nice 30 minute stroll to cover the whole island and enjoy its natural tropical -picture view; locals visit to entertain visitors with cultural dance/music and small market of handcrafted... We had an amazing time at Mystery Island. It was our favourite island out of the ones that we visited on our Royal Caribbean cruise. We snorkelled off the shore on the side that the boat was anchored. There was a huge array of fish and coloured corals- we even swam with a turtle! Definitely recommend a stop at this... More

Visited while on a royal Caribbean cruise. We took our own snorkelling gear and walked along the beach for a few hours of swimming. It's a small island and the beach is packed when the passengers arrive. Save a third of the price if u want to take a tour such as a trip to snorkel by booking with locals... More

This is a beautiful peaceful place in the Pacific. The island is a beautiful spot for scuba diving, snorkeling, lazing on the beach. There is a craft market in the middle of the island and a kitchen just of the main pier which serves up fresh cooked lobster & crab. There are toilets which have been built for the use... More

Visited Mystery Island as part of a shore tour with P&O. While the islanders don't live on the island , they are extremely organised in setting up for visitors, very commercial in some aspects. The island is amazing, white sand, aqua blue water and the snorkelling and marine fish were incredible. There was no food for sale, but alcohol, coca... More

I loved this island the most. Beach to the left is crowded the beach near the airstrip is larger and less occupied. Locals are so beautiful and friendly. The kept kissing and cuddling our daughter. Was cute to watch. Stalls take AUD and US (they charge the same they don't convert ie $15 regardless of currency) Take some small AUD... More
