This tree is actually a memorial to the fallen here in Pucallpa. A local guide told us some history. There was a terrorist group here called the path of the light. Who killed many , many people here. This tree is uses to commemorate them. Please correct any details, I've a memory of a gold fish. For a town with so very little to do, its worth a look at this giant of a tree. Its not always an option for everyone to pay a guide to take them on a 3 to 4 hour drive to see the rainforest. For tours I recommend Rita Alfa Turismo, they are a professional company.

Do not expect too much. If you never saw Lupuna then you might be impressed but if you want to see real one full of life than you will have to go to rain forest.

Just a big old tree. 200 hundred years old. It is usually hot and there a few places to eat around. Nothing more to see.
