Peggy’s Cove is arguably one of the most photographed light-houses in Canada. It is a must see stop if you are driving the South Shore of Nova Scotia but there are many other Nova Scotia lighthouse’s with more spectacular views and interesting scenery. It seems...More

I didn't have a lot of intention on coming to Peggy's Cove, mostly because I've always considered it a tourist trap and that turned me off. I ended up here as part of a Nova Scotia tour in Oct. There's a lot of history here,...More

Went here on a cold, wet, windy day.......but the lighthouse was still a great sight. We were told not to go on the rocks near the water as one could easily fall in and with the weather the way it was; that was a good...More

Iconic Peggy’s cove and the lighthouse are a must when you visit the east coast. The postcard perfect fishing village has not changed at all ever!!! Charming and Disney couldn’t hold a candle to the natural beauty.

Went with a few friends to check out the lighthouse while visiting in nearby Halifax. It was a nice view. I enjoyed reading the plaques about the geology and how the rocks on the point were formed. We went in the afternoon so the lighting...More

There was a really easy path out to the lighthouse. The views and surrounding area was lovely. There is ample free parking and there is a restaurant as well. Driving up to the lighthouse we took a load of photos of this picturesque village.

The area around this lighthouse is of a small village of restaurants and shops with only one small road that leads in and then out. Definitely a tourist stop on the cruise excursion lists, and yet the village remains quaint like. We were not allowed...More

The leaves were just beginning to turn and air was crisp.... we do not get to see many lighthouses in Texas, so was good to see the area...

Nice to see, yet maybe redundant if you’re from the east coast and familiar with lighthouses, yet overall great view. Food by near by restaurant is mediocre and you are better off elsewhere with fresh sea food.

This little village is so quaint and very popular with tourists. Try to go on a day when the cruise ships are not in the Halifax Harbour if possible but be sure to see it no matter what. Stroll through the little village to take...More

We went in Sept. From pictures I would guess 1- you can certainly visit there. 2- it certainly won't be crowded and 3 - it almost most certainly will be cold & icy! If we lived closer - my wife & I would definitely... More

I frankly would not miss it but one always has the chance of fog or rain even if the weather is nice in Halifax.

Yes, its an outdoor experience with the cliffs and the lighthouse. Very beautiful. I recommend bringing a jacket as I was there in August and the wind could get pretty chilly :) The restaurant and souvenir booth might have... More
