Found it after a few wrong turns and u-turns. Lovely quiet place above Argostoli with Italian, Greek and Euro flags flying. Information board in various languages. A fitting memorial to the young Italians which is well worth a visit.

You can visit this monument without using a tour company - it is just outside of Argostoli up the hill towards Panorama Finari Apartments. Lots of Italian visitors showing their respect - humbling experience. Just across the street from the memorial is another site, which...More

This is a beautiful memorial to the sad events on Kefalonia at the end of WW2. The memorial is very well maintained and many Italian people make pilgramages here to honour they lost ones.

Had to visit the Italian War Memorial to pay our respects. Made my own personal feeling that atrocities like this must never be forgotten just like the Holocaust. God bless the poor people who suffered during this dark time. Would encourage all to visit who...More

A thought provoking, emotional visit to an understated but effective memorial. Located above the Panorama Studios and Apartments.

That's great! It really is a haunting place, but some how enlightened considering.... Well done for the research and finding the evidence around. Shame other people don't understand!
