    Wonderful camping experience
Camped at Presqu’ile for 2 nights this past weekend and absolutely loved it, it was my first time visiting and I think it’s a hidden gem that’s under valued compared to sandbanks park. Sure, the campground we were camping at had less privacy and the campsites were small but that didn’t bother us too much or take away from the experience tbh (we stayed at Elmvale campground and the website says that the sites can accomodate 6 people/3 camps but we thought the sites were too small for that. Would suggest max 4 people/one car on each campsite). The comfort stations aren’t part of Elmvale campground but are walking distance which was nice. There are also water taps all around which was very helpful! The park is beautiful and the camping experience was wonderful, the beaches here are less busy compared Sandbanks but the beaches are equally beautiful and has nice walkable hikes. Would definitely camp here again in the future.

A walk in the park ...
Beach, beach, and beach are the comparison topics in 'The County' and Quinte area. Walk, walking and more walks are the theme here. Q-Trip: A trail app is worthwhile, and helpful with lots of paths, paths and more paths. Q-Trip: Load up with great goodies from Northumberland Fine Foods. Or have them provide your lunch for the trail.

    Wonderful park
This is a lovely park with a beautiful lighthouse. The path from the parking lot to the lighthouse is not very long, and my husband who uses a cane was able to walk it with no problem. Beautiful views from the shore near the lighthouse.

We we're able to experience only a few of this fine Park's Natural amenities during the short time we had.

Highlights include: Jobes Woods ( fine upland woodland) , shore trail to lighthouse and to amphitheater, Friends of Presquille volunteer run store, quick access to waterfront, marrsh boardwalk, large swimmer's beach, many more extensive trails.

On the negative side some will find the bugs bothersome.

Staff are young and seem to be inexperienced.
One of the extremely young Park wardens was advised of and shown reverse polarity electrical outlet at trailer site and did not comprehend!

There is a serious problem with invasive alien plant species on site. Numerous European Buckthorn cover vast areas of the park. There was even outbreaks of Dog Strangling Vine spotted along the roads!! these must be eradicated immediately!! They are seriously diminishing the health of the local ecosystem. The once annual clearing crew is not sufficient ... this will require constant vigilance.

I came here for may long weekend and I would not camp here again. Sites are small and our site had people on all sides. There was absolutely no privacy even though the campsite was rated as "privacy: good" on the Ontario Parks website. There is only one comfort station for the whole park, and it gets very busy. Would recommend other parks for camping over this one.

Day use fee for low season just to walk the 100m trail to lighthouse and back is $15... that is ridiculous for low season. Way to go Ontario Parks for making everything a money grab!! Families who are looking to get outside and learn can't go anywhere government related... boooooooo!

Smaller campground then I'm used to. Not as much privacy at the campsites. Beach is okay..nothing like Sandbanks but still alright. There's a nice trail by the waterfront and I enjoyed the Marsh Trail. Saw some muskrats.
I would go back but would try to find a more private site..I felt very out in the open. I believe I stayed in the Cedars area.

My friends and I were staying in a cottage nearby and thought to venture out to this park. It’s cost us $21 per vehicle to gain a one day pass. There are many different parts of the park you can go to. There are beaches, the lighthouse, the marsh boardwalk and countless trails!! There are washrooms in the building at the front of the park and then there are many outhouses throughout the park. This place was great for a day trip.

This provincial park is a pleasant day trip destination. I very much enjoyed the Marsh Boardwalk Trail, Beautiful Lighthouse, Informational panels on the HMS Schooner called Speedy, plus the beautiful vista of Lake Ontario and the crashing waves. Much beauty in our own backyard. Highly recommend.
