Went in on a wet Saturday and found a warm welcome - a real roasting fire, and a good lively bit of chat. There was sport on the tv and good lively football banter - mostly around the Ross County score (won 2-1). Jamie and Jackie the owners were there and so a good welcome all round. Will be back!

Camping in Fortrose and came across great local pub, locals very friendly. Staff also great fun, but barmaid at night was always outside for a gag and not once did she wash her hands when she came back in. Spoiled the experience for us.

We stumbled across this wee gem whilst on holiday in the highlands. I really can't praise this place enough. Superb drinks with the most friendliest locals I have ever seen. Bar maid was fantastic who made us feel very welcome. Without a doubt the best pub I've visited for many years! If you are passing pop in for a drink... More

If you are in the fortrose area, you must make time to visit the Union tavern. The locals make you feel so welcome and the bar staff are fantastic. Best pub around and we kept going back during our holiday. Best cheese toasties around! 😃

I have to agree with the other good reviews. The locals and the staff are fantastic folk and made us feel at ease right away. We've visited four times now and it was the same every time. The craic was great and we had a great time with lots of laughs, we left feeling we had made new friends and... More

I was in Fortrose for the weekend visiting family and was recommended to go for a drink in the Union Tavern. Could not have been a better experience. The locals and regulars were as friendly as it gets, happy to chat and make you feel welcome. Those who worked there couldn't have done the place a higher service. They were... More

I have been visiting this wee local for quite a number of years now and have always been made very welcome by staff and locals alike . The sense of humour shown by locals is superb mixed in with tales of farming, fishing and of course football. Its a pub well worth a visit and wont cost a fortune for a... More
