This is what is called "low-impact" exercise. And the water (particularly this summer) is never more than three or four feet deep. You can paddle, or just float at your leisure, and let the gentle current carry you downstream. And make sure you pack a picnic basket!

Had an amazing time with my girlfriend. The staff at Kayak are friendly and made sure we were comfortable on our trip. They explained the river before going and also again in the bus on our way to our drop off point. We had a great time on the river and was a great date.

This was our first ever kayak experience and it won't be our last. We did the Athelstan route. The half-day trip is perfect for beginners. I do recommend reservations and I recommend starting your excursion in the morning, on days where the temperature is above 25. Hats and sunscreen are a must, trust me, my legs could write a review... Friendly staff, recent equipment, excellent leisure time. They drive you (by school bus) upstream, so you have about 10 km to paddle back to the base or just kick back and the current will take you back there (lazy river style). The only down side is that there is no changing rooms on site, thus only four stars. Also, don't... More

From what I hear, business is booming nowadays so book well in advance. Fun thing to do with a bunch of friends, even if they enjoy flipping your kayak over. Highly recommended.

You don't need to be an experienced kayaker to do this activity. You are gently pushed by the river's current and mostly just need to paddle to go where you want to go. There are a couple of very small rapids which are actually a lot of fun! The guide had pointed out the easiest way to manoeuvre through them... More

Great outing with friends and family. Pick a nice day, bring a picnic, your dog or your best friend. Great staff but sure, I've known most of them for years.

I never thought I would try kayaking, never mind enjoy it, but I loved it. Went with some friends and had a great afternoon. The employees were very friendly, helpful and informative. Truly a wonderful experience.

We have enjoyed kayak safari ever since it opened. The present owners are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the river and safety. I would give it a ten but I can only give it a five. You will enjoy it beyond words and multiple visits add to the joy of kayaking with kayak safari. Lorraine Krause
