Beautiful Park but bias to diverse groups
Aug. 2019
On Saturday August 3rd, my friend and I went to
Delpha Sauvé park to spend some quality time with our kids. We were two adults and 4 kids.
Everything was going fine , in the pool and pic nic area until….
After lunch, we decided to take the kids to the playground area before we get back to the water.
When we got back, our picnic parasol was down. We trying to open it up with no success and called for maintenance
One of the lifeguards came and after declaring it broken, decided to take it back.
He told us there was no replacement.
We continued our day, kids playing in the water and swimming.
At some point, my friend’s daughter was seated at the pic nic table and we noticed one lifeguard talking to her
From afar, we could tell it was serious matter. She is 11 years old. Review your procedures with your lifeguards! Adults have no right to traumatize kids like that!

We proceeded to reach out.
This lady lifeguard was questioning the child as to where the parasol was!
She proceeded to ask us where did it go? She said “ it was here, you left the park and it disappeared”
I asked her straight, what are you insinuating? Don’t you communicate with each other and does it look like
We would STEAL something ?
She turned red and was asking if we wanted a replacement. All this after she insisted that we made it disappear!
Oh so after all you have replacements? I declined by saying “we are used to the SUN! we can do without one”
That was a very unfortunate moment. We felt disrespected and insulted.
We went on about our business and went back to the water. Just to be asked to take our inflatable rings out of the water.
To our big surprise. Why? When we first got to the park we did ask if our inflatables were appropriate to your lifeguards and they said yes.

This visit left us with a very unfortunate memory. We felt targeted and subtly pushed out of the park.
Hard not to think that it was because of the color of our skin!! We were the only black family there for a while until another showed up in the afternoon.
We enjoyed this park and trust me, we will be back. We won’t let some closed minded folks stop us from having fun.

Nice pool, nice facility
Sep. 2018 • Family
We came here mainly for the pool. Even though we were not residents, the entrance was around $11 for the whole families. We spent over two hours here. The pool and shower room were clean. The park was located along the river. It was also a good place for picnic.

Great urban park
Jul. 2018 • Couples
On the water, lots of walks here and connecting to this good sized park, lots of activity from people out and about plus boats and boaters. Picturesque ‘fountain’ spray in the middle of the bay that lit at night. Just a very pleasant waterfront park across the old canal from the still vibrant downtown.

Great pool and water park!
Jul. 2017 • Family
My family and I were very happy that we found this place! It’s so fun for the kids and a great time for the adults!

Fully fenced off outdoor pool
Area with picnic tables and umbrellas if your early enough to get them! No need to bring any chairs they have plenty! Just wish they had a snack bar there’s no food to purchase so bring a lunch!

Free for residents and 9$ for a family of four if your not a resident. I wish vaudreuil had a place like this!!

Bring your family especially if you have little ones and you will all have a blast!
