The place has nothing special except the fact that it might be one of the largest in kerala. It is always crowded and one can easily buy fish for cheap. The place is good to see at dawn and dusk.

Neendakara is a famous fishing harbour in Kollam district of Kerala, India. One of the very beautiful places in kollam especially during the golden hours. You can see the Ashtamudi Lake joining the sea from here. Neendakara Bridge is the bridge connecting Neendakara and sakthikulangara and you can get the amazing view of the harbor along with the sea from... More

Neendakara Port has historical Significance.Good old days it was a harbour port for small shipping vessels carrying passengers and cargo. The Mineral /Ore sands from Chavara Rare earth Factory used this facility for a long while. To day,it is a major harbour for mechanised fishing vessels-can see hundreds of them sailing out and in for fishing. Also is an auction centre for... More

The stink is just like any fishing harbour but is maintained quite well. Those unfamiliar with simialr places may feel unsafe initially but get used to the set up after some time. Good views of the sea is possible.

Neendakara may be Kelara's largest fishing harbor and when we pass through the area in the early hours, the area will be crowded with fishermen, merchants and people coming to buy fish. We can see a number of fishing boats in the back waters and in the sea too while crossing the Neendakara bridge. The area is famous for fishing... More

It's good for excellent raw fish. It's a fishing harbour and we can purchase fresh sea food at reasonable rates. Dolphins are seen sometimes near the Neendakara Bridge.
