I went from Chengdu to trail head and start walking from there. The car ride to trail head can be quite dangerous as there is a lot of rock falls. This was made worse during the rainy session. The trail itself is kept quite clean....More

Upon arrival at the airport in Kang Ding we were greeted by the majestic Gongga Mountain range. Just what I had always pictured the Himalayan mountains to look like.

It is not the highest mountain in the world, but definitely one of the most majestic! It's such a petty that I can not see it closely and clearly due to the heavy rain! Hopefully I have better luck next time!

You take a tour bus from Moxi town up to the cable car. At the top of the cable car you have impressive views of the Mt. Gongga (7556m) and 5 other peaks above 6500m if the weather permits.
