Sri Vittal Rukmini Samsthan is a temple built recently which has the idols of Krishna and his consort Rukmini placed in here. The temple is massive and there is a Goshala in the backyard where more than 100 cows are provided shelter and food. They manage the finances from the donations the temple receives, and from the people who visit... More

This Govindapuram Panduranga-Vittal Rukmani Temple fascinated me in more than one reason. It is built mainly by a single untiring devotee Sri Sri Vittal Maharaj-Grandson of famous Namasankkethana Samrat Sri Anantharama Deekshethar. Sri Vittal Maharaj built this grand structure through donations he collected during his Namasankeethanams through out India. He is also a great follower of Sri Haridas Giri Gurji.... More

I have visited several times to this temple. This temple is like PANDARIPURAM PANDURANGA temple. Here they maintain a ko sala ( Pasu Madam ) with more than 500 cows. People allowed to visit and worship. Donation accepted.

This place is a must see when one is in Kumbakonam. The temple is beautiful and the idols of Vittal, Rukmini are very beautiful too. Interesting part is the Goshala which is neatly maintained and one can see various cows from different parts of the country. Worth a visit. Overall a calm and peaceful place.
