What was once a lovely, quiet place is becoming very commercialised and is expanding dramatically. We had a hot chocolate and a mocha in the cafe and they were awful, much to thick, bitter and not dissolved properly. Going downhill unfortunately.

Lovely place for all ages inc young children and dogs. We’ll sign posted walks and end up at the cafe for all sorts of eats and hot drinks. Pay by the hour car park. Go ape for young people and adults.

We are very lucky to live nearby. In the past we used to pay to park at the top. I was put off by the amount of people there, but once you hit the trails you hardly see anyone. Most visitors are city folk who...More

The woodland has now got a new large 500 space carpark which has destroyed the old woodland with little thought to the environment , the place looks more like a theme park than a relaxing woodland. My understanding is 4.5 million so called improvement plan...More

A prime example of why woodland needs protection from the forestry commission. I will never visit again.

It is a really good place for a relaxing day. There are many paths so you can walk and investigate the nature. Besides, there is a cafe where you can take some drinks and you can also see a few Gruffalo sculptures that are amazing!

Wendover woods is a lovely place, but my reason for the poor rating is the new car park. What on earth? Surely it's not beyond the intelligence and ability of a forestry commission to create a car park that retains some of the original landscape....More
