We had a lovely day at a wedding here with a great reception afterwards. The venue is in the middle of nowhere really but this makes for a nice rural setting. The ceremony we attended was outdoors and then we were treated to the most delicious appetisers inside during cocktail hour. I can't remember what they all were because I was being social too much but they were all great especially the mini Yorkshire pudding with roast beef and horseradish. The servers were all really friendly too and managed to give the event a friendly relaxed vibe but also elegant - a good mix!
Dinner was awesome. Cauliflower and Chirizo Soup, Pork Tenderloin in Peppercorn sauce and the BEST apple crisp ever with toffee sauce...seriously good.
There was a lot of room for dancing which is always good.
All in all highly recommended for a country wedding with style.

I have had the distinct pleasure of attending a few different events that have been hosted by the Lakeview Arts Barn (also known as "The LAB"), and I have never been disappointed. In the summer, the resident theatre company "Globus Theatre" puts on a number of professional plays. The space is wonderfully intimate, and the productions are fantastic! You can opt for the dinner theatre package, and the food never disappoints, just be sure to book early as it sells out! Over the winter months, there are several one night events which I have not been able to make, simply because of distance, but I hope to go one day. One of the highlights of our year is when we go to the New Years Eve ball - dinner, dance and amazing fun. The couple that owns the theatre, James and Sarah, go out of their way to provide a safe and enjoyable evening - every year we have attended, they have gone so far as to hire buses to take party goers back into the surrounding communities - Fenelon Falls, Lindsay and Bobcaygeon, Customer service is always top notch. This May, the theatre company is celebrating 10 years, and the LAB will be having a Starlight Ball - Promises to be another really exciting night, and I am really looking forward to going back again. Keep up the great work guys!

I like the British influence on the pre-theatre menu. Favourites such as bangers and mash, fisherman's pie and sticky toffee pudding make appearances most summers. Although it is a prix fixe menu with just three choices for each course I have never been stuck for something to choose - there are usually a couple of options that pique my interest and I have not been disappointed yet!

bought dine and show tickets for my wife's birthday. She was appalled at the meal and refused a do=over. The entertainment did not make up for lose of appetite, so we left at the break.

We attended the Kawartha/Haliburton Crimestoppers fundraiser Murder Mystery night at the Arts Barn recently. It was a very entertaining evening with a nice dinner buffet and reasonably priced drinks. Great actors that tried to get everyone involved. A good time was had by all, while raising funds for a good cause.

We are a group of gals who like to go on adventures and find new places - sometimes we find gems, sometimes not. The Lakeview Arts Barn is a gem. It's lovely - beautiful setting and then inside what a surprise! The restaurant is smart and the theatre is beautiful...and very comfortable for those of us with a large caboose!
We ate before the show and can't fault the service or the menu...or the cost!
Highly recommended.

Lakeview Arts Barn is an excellent venue for Globus Theatre presentations. We are fortunate to have Sarah and James here in Bobcaygeon. They are a cheerful, hard-working, talented pair who present great meals, live theatre and events and also give back to the community.

Wow! The food is amazing...but especially the lamb shank. We recently attended a dance here - great dance floor and happy staff made the evening a delight. We are going to go back again this summer to see a theatre company there. They do all sorts of shows and there is dinner before each one - I will have the lamb!

We've been to several shows; some with dinner beforehand. The food at LAB is excellent, the shows varied as to theme but always so good. One was done 'in the round' with the performers in the centre of the theatre and audience on all sides. I'd recommend attending this venue.

We attended a dinner theatre murder mystery. Some of my party enjoyed it more than others. I saw a similar mix in the audience. If you love to get involved, you'll probably enjoy it. If you're uncomfortable speaking up in a crowd, you may find it daunting. Food was OK, but not outstanding.
