Our evening at Globus Theatre/LAB exceeded our expectations! Having attended a few dinner theatres we didn’t know what to expect being held in a barn & during Stage 3 of Covid. Well they hit it out of the ball park!! From great food with 3 selections to appeal to the majority, seamless staff, fully stocked bar & a hilarious show written by one of the actors! It started with us being greeted at the door & having our temperatures taken. Tables were distanced in a rustic but elegant setting, staff were attentive & delivered courses with just enough time between each. Tables were ushered into the theatre individually with ease where seating was arranged maintaining more then the mandated social distancing. Kama Sutra was performed on a stage with two sets a living room & bedroom with few costume changes. Sara Quick & James Barrett brought to life Lynda & Bobs’ marriage from arriving home from work to life in the sack as a middle aged couple with 20yrs under their belt with humour & wit! All from a mistaken library book these two performers nailed what life is like while giving their audience some much needed belly laughter during these unprecedented times! Well done!!!

Globus Theatre is in a splendid barn complex way out in the country ten kilometres south of Bobcaygeon. It is a prime example of ‘if you build it they will come’ and must have been a great leap of faith by the owners.
What I particularly like about this dinner theatre is that the dinner and the theatre are separate. You eat your excellent (and very filling) meal in a dining room, then move next door to the theatre, the seating in which can be arranged in several ways. For our visit this year it was theatre in the round, as we watched a very entertaining and professionally done play. Most of the plays we have seen here have been on the light side, as befits summer theatre. Now all they need to do to keep us totally happy is stock Prosecco at the bar again!

Wonderful and kind staff! My family has been coming for 5+ years to the dinners and shows. The food is amazing, three courses with accommodations for various food allergies if needed. My mum has a mushroom allergy, and the kitchen is always attentive to that. Afterwards, there is a fantastic show. The actors are phenomenal and we love coming back every summer season.

My husband has a very long list of dietary restrictions and I was really impressed at how well the Globus theatre accommodated every one of them when we went for the theatre and meal package. Delicious lamb shank dinner.

Play was excellent. My dinner, mushroom stroganoff, tasted too vinegary. Salad and dessert cheese tray were very good.

We are so lucky to have Globus Theatre in Kawartha Lakes. The quality of theatre put on by the actors is amazing. I’m never disappointed. We see every show for the last 8 years. I look forward to summer to have girls night at lakeview arts barn. Thanks for all the hard work James and Sarah.

Globus Theatre at the Lakeview Arts Barn is a must see for everyone travelling to Bobcaygeon! I've seen two shows already (British Invasion, Lunenburg) in this year's 15th season line-up, and it has been so much fun! Looking forward to Chris Gibbs (Like Father, Like Son? Sorry), Murder For Two comedy, and Sugar Road.
My husband and I enjoyed a hearty and delicious dinner made from locally sourced foods. Professional theatre: a jewel in the Kawarthas.

Globus Theatre was an unexpected surprise! The food was locally sourced and delicious. The servers were lovely. The drink selection was extensive and very reasonably priced. The show we saw was funny and extremely well acted. The owners even personally thanked and said good bye to everyone. We will come back!

When the relatives we were visiting in Bobcaygeon told us they were taking us to the local dinner theater, we didn’t know what to expect. The show we saw “Raising the Barn,” was bizarre and silly, and included melodrama, singing, several surprises, and just plain weirdness. But it was funny and very entertaining, and the cast was amazing. The setting - a converted and modified barn out in the Canadian countryside, was nice, and the food was very good. Our dinner included a salad bar, dinner buffet, and ice cream for dessert. We would enthusiastically do this again if we got the chance!
