Visited here in November, so the gates were closed at the bottom. There was parking available and it was a short walk to the lookout. Did not climb the tower as the dog was along, but the view from the lookout was amazing. This was...More

It was the end of October- cold, windy, my legs hurt the next day- but still worth the climb to the top! Fun, short, outing that paid off with gorgeous views, both from the top of the tower but also from the lookout spot at...More

A phenomenal place to go to see the colours in October. You have a choice to park down the hill and walk up with the fee being $2 a person or park near the tower for $9 per car load. A word of warning though....More

Yearly visits here since I was a tiny lad, and now it is a family tradition into another generation. Although the crowds are thick during the Autumn, this is the grandest place in Ontario to see the fall colours. Amazing view, and if you are...More

We were advised by other walkers to take the less steep route up the hill to the tower and we were glad we did. The view at the top was magnificent and well worth the climb. Can thoroughly recommend this hike for a fall outing.

The view from the top of the tower is worth the 181 steps and sore quads you’ll feel the next day! There’s a parking fee of $9 (peak fall season rate), or you can park in the lot just off the highway and walk up...More

On our scenic trip around the lake area, my husband and I found this lovely little park with a great view. We climbed the 121 steps to the top of an old forestry tower for a wonderful 360-degree view of the area. Beautiful.

We went there in Oct 2018 and the view was simply amazing. It was crowded because we went to see peak fall colours on a weekend but we enjoyed every moment of it. You can park near the tower or park near the main road...More

You park at the bottom and walk up a very long road to get to the viewing area. You can climb the actual viewing tower if you like, but I am not a huge fan of it as it has open stairs which are not...More

There is a $2.00 fee at the top of the hill so that you can park your car at the base of the tower. Once there the are is quite stroller friendly.

The tower is 100 feet (30 meters) high, and has about 120 steps. It's very steep but there are stages where you can rest before tackling the next flight. There are no seats though. There's also a viewing platform at the... More
