It amazes me how things like this were crafted all those years ago and how they have survived. This is really amazing craftsmanship.

Part of the Fatehpur Sikri Complex this is worth a special mention as it is carved out of a single piece of sandstone and as such is quite an astonishing piece of architecture. A must see on any tour of this site.

The main attraction in Diwan-i-Khas is the Lotus throne. The intricate carvings on the pillar built in red stone is indeed a masterpiece. It's an excellent piece of mughal architecture. The carvings are said to symbolize the different religions prevalent in India during Akbar's era and religious harmony.

Beautifully intricate carvings which seem like it must have taken years of work to accomplish. Great example of workmanship from the artisans hundreds of years ago.

This whole complex and the structures within are worth a good look. The Lotus Throne is especially grand and the carvings here are not like anything else that you will see...
