The borders of Finland, Sweden and Norway meet at the Three Nation's Border Point that stands on a man-made island in the Malla Strict Nature Reserve. The point is located about 11 km west from the village of Kilpisjarvi. You get there by hiking or skiing through the Malla Strict Nature Reserve, or during summer you can get there by the Malla boat.

Such an unusual thing to do. It was a great boat trip with a really easy 3km walk there and back. Loads of reindeer on the way which if you come from UK is a novelty!

It was fun going across the lake in skiddoos and reaching this place where the 3 Nations meet. We had hot berry juice and lots of info given to us by our guide it was a really interesting trip.

We got on the boat from pilkisjärvi hiking station, a 25min ride and then a 3km hike along a pretty easy trail, a nice hike in pretty enviroments, dress warm and use good boots the weather change quickly.
