We spent three weeks in Himare and spent time here every day. It’s a laid back, family friendly beach with great water for swimming. Never once during our time there did we feel crowded, nor did we feel any sense of insecurity of any kind.

There are two super friendly guys there who rent kayaks (one- and two-person), pedal boats, paddle boards and beach umbrellas. Prices for the rentals are very fair (600L for one hour on a two-person kayak; 1,000L for one hour with a pedal boat).

The restaurant/bar strip is immediately behind the beach, so you have great access to restaurants, coffee shops, bars, markets and clothes/beach kit shops.

We left at the end of June and it was just starting to get busier, but there’s plenty od room and had we stayed longer we would still have been there every day.

As a local I love Sfageio Beach, we were raised here i this beach! What we love most about Sfageio are the rocks, they are perfect to explore, climb in them and dive from different levels! Also what many people might not know is Sfageio Cave, were with a bit bravery, you can pass across on the other side by going under the water in the end of the cave's path! We call this cave also BUGAZI! We still visit Sfageio till this day! Very recomended!

I don't know if the cloudy day got in the way, but we didn't like this beach that much. There is also the Pier where boat trips leave, leaving the sea view a little polluted.
We tried to complete the tour to Grama Bay, but unfortunately the weather was bad and the navy banned boats from leaving.
