About
Starting from Spilea to the south, after the Llamani beach, appears one of the most beautiful sights of the region and all of Albania, Porto-Palermo Bay (Panormus). The picture is unique. In a magical harbor, with clear blue waters, a small peninsula stretches over to us.

One of our best stops on the all day Vlore-Saranda drive was on Porto Palermo beach. It is secluded in the bay of the small peninsula where's the Ali Pasha castle, which you should definitely visit (see that review).
The Palermo beach is very small, but not crowded. It's just by the main road and there's a parking lot (unpaved).
The sea was fantastic, crystal clear and calm like oil. Really great two hours spent there.

Luckily, so to speak, most people will drive by on the main road and miss this small haven of tranquility. You can drive down between the hedges. It's only about 50 metres and then park. Hope you spot it. It has its own little harbour and a row of 'palm trees' along the edge of the beach. Paradise.

Exceptional sea for swimming and diving with a beautiful variety of all-black urchin fish and sighted octopus 🐙 easy to reach

A fascinating place located on a small peninsula, a stronghold of the legendary Ali' Pasha, we were accompanied by a history professor who, without being pedantic, documented us well! A corner of paradise!!!!!

Calling it a beach takes courage!! It is a very small space of land, surrounded by decay and filth. In the bay they breed fish and there is a strong salty smell. The only positive note is the view of the castle at sunset, otherwise not recommended

We loved the small cove, it was very empty so it was wonderful
There is a Balinese bed that saved our lives (it was very hot and sunny) so we ate there and spent a beautiful afternoon.
The only drawback I see is that the place is indecent, full of plastic outside the beach, but all of Albania is like that.
The castle is next door, it is very beautiful and fast to see.
Park on the slope that goes down to the beach, because on the road they fined us every half hour.

Turquoise, crystal clear waters, without waves, without the pressure from beach clubs to rent sun loungers at the price of fillet mignon, the best beach on the Albanian Riviera.
Not to be missed in Himarë.

Dirty, chaotic and smelly beach. Clean sea but nothing amazing. There was no place to lay out a beach towel. We took a bath and ran away
