There were no more tickets to visit newgrange so we just visited Knowth grounds and we were not disappointed. The tour guide was nice and willing to answer everyone's questions. The site is beautiful. I really recommend it. In orders to get tickets they recommend...More

A group of 40 of us were guided by Mary, who was very interested in Knowth's history. She was friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable- where was she when I was in school? Knowth gives a fascinating insight into a history that predates the pyramids! Our...More

New grange - one if the best things you'll ever see. It's very very cramped in the passage at newgrange but everyone managed - young old thin not so thin claustrophobic etc. The megalithic art is amazing. There's some graffiti from 1820 or so as...More

We drove far to get there. Had called about getting in, they said, arrive before 11:30 - we did. The tour busses took all of the available spots. We arrived with five kids - let alone traveling from the states - and we walked through...More

I brought 4 American visitors here to do the 2 tours i.e. Knowth and Newgrange, 3 hours well spent. Guides are very good and knowledgeable. Knowth is a wonderful surprise and I'm tempted to say it's a better visit than Newgrange. They have opened a...More

These places are stunning! The passage tombs, probably places of worship, are decorated with many examples of so rare Neolithic Art... You just feel as a speck of dust inside Newgrange. I enjoyed the wee trips in the shuttles! The Bru Na Boinne center is...More

Bru na Boinne is the only access point to Newgrange and Knowth. After purchasing a ticket, visitors are brought by bus to the sites. Newgrange is the better known site and visitors can access the burial chamber itself. There is a very narrow passage into...More

Bru Na Boinne is just about a 30mins drive away from Dublin, and so worth the trip! I only had time to visit the Newgrange tomb, where visitors were invited to through the narrow corridor into the heart of the tomb. Then we were given...More

How early should I get there for tickets? Tuesday June 13, 2017. My wife and I will be landing in Dublin at 5am, renting a car and headed straight to this place. I know they open at 9am. Should I plan to be there at 7am? Thank you all in advance for your help.
