The kids had so much fun at Brooks Farm! As a parent on a budget , I found Brooks Farm to be quite expensive. The hayride was fun. And their baked goods are delicious but again quite costly. Look for a Groupon for Brooks Farm if you are price conscious.

Horrible experience. There are no eggs hidden. Ever so often a worker comes and dumps a bunch off eggs in a central place and everyone scrambles to grab as many as they can. Older kids and adults (yes adults) seem to get the most, while the little ones walk away disappointed. Never going back.

I believe you were likely here on Friday - and we agree - there were far to many people at the farm, and yes, the adults seemed to be hoarding the eggs. Unfortunately there was a bit of a language barrier on Friday, which we are going to rectify for next year, ie. translated signs and some staff on hand... More

First trip to a sugar bush and boy they do it right. Lots for the young ones to do, the tour was very educational and the syrup was delicious. If I had one negative, it would be that only kids under 2 were free and $9 for everyone else. I would have like to see kids under 5 free.

Although we visited on an extremely cold minus 11 degrees day (for our Capetonians this is severe!!) with snow, we were welcomes with open arms and taken on a very interesting and educational tour on the harvesting and production of maple syrup. My grandchildren really enjoyed it (although in my books nearly freezing). The hot coffee and hot chocolate afterwards with pancakes... We traveled there to find some good fresh berries. Easy to find and lots to look at. Even have stuff for kids to do. Found the prices on produce higher than those of the stores - a little disappointing.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for your review! You're right we are a little more expensive than your typical grocery store, but you are getting the Freshest Possible - straight from the source produce. The grocery stores can afford to sell at a lost litre because of all the other items you buy while in there. I hope you'll continue to support... More

We have been visiting Brooks since my son was a toddler. At 12, he still enjoys it. The people who run the farm seem to genuinely enjoy what they do and that lends a great atmosphere to the place. We go every year for a pumpkin and every year they seem to have added a new, fun thing. The first... More

We have enjoyed visiting Brooks Farms many times over the last 3 years. It is really great to go with young children. A lot of comments mention pricing. I do agree the price is slightly steep for young families, but if you can swing a weekday its ideal. I find if I pay a higher admission for entry I rarely... More

Family day with the Grandkids and daughters, I know when your a business your trying to make money BUT I personally found 14.00 pp to be very expensive for kids to run around . in my opinion the Peterborough Zoo is FREE and they have a beautiful playground the kids can play at for hours, even the tractor (train) ride... Thanks for your review. Some of our customers come and stay the entire day - we have a hard time getting them to leave! =) So I'm sorry you only stayed for 49 minutes. It's true, we aren't free like the Peterborough Zoo (which we've enjoyed ourselves) which is funded by tax payer dollars, we don't have that luxury. What... More

This is a nice farm with lots of activities for kids. We took our 11 month old and he enjoyed it. Wagon rides to the pumpkin patch were fun. The admission was $14/adult which I found to be quite expensive. They also charged an extra $1 because we paid debit. They also had duck races and corn blasters, which weren't... More
