The visit starts with a museum that is a bit outdated in presentation, but it gives a nice overview of the history of sugar production on the isle. I loved the complimentary sugar degustation as well as the rhum tasting.More

If you know nothing about sugar production then you will come out of this 'adventure' knowing much more than when you went in!!! This expedition is totally hands on and full of interest. One of THE things to see in Mauritius.

I highly recommend visiting this as it’s a great and interactive museum where you don’t need a guide and can discover on your own pace! It has a nice degustation afterwards!

The bus doesn't go directly to the entrance. You'd need to take a bus to the Pamplemousses roundabout and walk to it from there. That would take no more than 10 minutes.

It is not a hotel. Regarding taxis it should not cost more Than 2000rs which is the max price to where I live the furthest distance grand gaube. Negotiate.
