We had a lovely day and saw lots of animals, except the lions (very bad!). Thanks for the good lunch with drink. From Dar Es Salaam the road is long.

Very friendly people but we missed the driver talking us through the safari. We were hoping to learn a bit more about the animals and area but in general the driver just kept quiet. One other issue we faced is that we were not informed that our lodge switches off all power at night! We spent a sleepless night without... More

Hello Thanks for the review and the points raised, these helps us to improve our services and also to learn about other service providers we use. For the accommodation used the first night usually the lodge provides briefing of the rooms whereby you are informed of the power cut at midnight and other rules while staying there. Its unfortunate that... More

We are just back from a 3 night trip with Watu to Mikumi and Udzungwa national parks. I was a bit nervous, never having booked anything like this before, about sending nearly $2000 to Africa in a bank transfer; but I needn't have been - everything worked out perfectly. Majenda's email communication was excellent - he gave us recommendations and... More

Watu Safaris proved themselves as a very reliable safari provider. Every step in organizing our 1 day safari experience in Mikumi in January went smooth. The communication with the head office of the company was very efficient and accurate from the very beginning. We received a very high level of service by our driver and were fortunate enough to see... More

We had a wonderful time with watu safaris. We were picked up at the airport and transferred to our accommodation. Our guide Rajeb was fantastic -friendly,helpful and extremely knowledgable. We did 2 safaris each day with Rajeb in our own jeep - they surpassed my expectations every time. We saw a wide range of animals - the elephants were particularly... More

I would like to thank our tour guide (Hamidi I think his name was) for the most amazing trip although we were incredibly unlucky in terms of the wildlife we saw however he made our trip with his knowledge and commitment to his job. The only downside to the trip was the accommodation (Ruaha cottages) which was $50 per night... More

Hello Thank you for the review Your driver name was HAMAD :) For the wildlife - Since wild animals move freely sometimes it happens that the routes you take may not be where the animals are at that time. I'm happy that you still enjoyed your safari in Ruaha. The price for Ruaha Park cottages (same as Mikumi) are charged... More

Thanks for two fantastic days of great safari and adventure. We visited both the Mikumi safari park and was able to get close looks at many wild animals, and our driver Hamad knows really everything about them. We slept out in the park, being neighbours with the animals. We had monkeys climbing the trees 2 meters from our cabin. 2nd... More

(Visit: August 2015) It was a great experience, from the very beginning to the end. Majenda was always extremely kind and willing to help to find the best solution for us.
