This really is a must do on your Murray River holiday.

Located at the 229 marker, which is the only odd numbered marker on the river, I was expecting a sign at least to say where it was. After passing Big Bend, I decided to phone and... read more

Located at the 229 marker, which is the only odd numbered marker on the river, I was expecting a sign at least to say where it was. After passing Big Bend, I decided to phone and found out we had passed it an hour earlier. Apparently someone "borrowed" the sign. I also found bookings were essential, but Janet said we... More

We had the pleasure of Pat's company as we toured the Swan Reach area for a day tour discovering outback pubs. We were collected promptly at Walker Flat from our Houseboat. Pat was very informative about the area and the plight of the farmers and townsfolk as we traversed country dirt roads and sealed bitumen on our way to the... More

We did the nocturnal tour with meal followed by Bush Tucker Champagne Breakfast the following morning from our houseboat. I was on holiday from NZ with my wife and two adult children with their partners from the UK. Janet & Dave couldn't have been better hosts. From our arrival and "starter" through dinner and then the nocturnal tour we all... More

We still tell people about our magical evening in May, 2005. I'm so pleased that this is still operating. We were staying in Mannum and did this tour after a day discovering the sights on either side of the Murray as far north as Blanchetown. We drove to the farm - we were the only ones on the tour -... Having driven the Barossa valley many years ago I though I had seen it all, so therefore I was a somewhat reluctant traveller for a bus tour through the region...as usual, my partner Jan prevailed and so we spent a day away from the PS Murray Princess (see my review) to re-experience the vineyards. What a surprise!! Our driver David... More

Hi Sam , Thanks for the kind words. Cate, alias Kelly, is now swanning around like a full time actress demanding more money. No sign of Jan,s glasses but will ask at each winery on Monday as they were not open on Good Fridays tour. Spent most of the day playing Tony,s game of Swedish skittles or whatever they were called.... More

We had the absolute pleasure of have Dave as our tour guide for both the Barossa Tour (in the Entertainer) and the Outback Pub Crawl. What a great & entertaining man he is. And very accommodating. Will start with the Barossa Tour first. Dave picked us up at 10am from our houseboat in The Entertainer! Greeted with a glass of... More

Went as part of a Murray Princess Cruise The Sheep demo was entertaining and informative and the evening tour was incredible; frogmouths, grey, red and albino Roos and a wombat in his hole were the headlines. The transport is in modern versions of horse carts and is itself part of the enjoyment. David and his family are really welcoming and... More

We were on a seven day Houseboat trip on the River Murray and did a Barossa tour with David from Big Bend Tours. He picked us up in a fancy van with aircon and couch seating that all faced out of a window. There were bubbles on arrival, nice touch! But what makes the difference is that David is genuinely...
