The beach are beautiful! Water is clear. But in the sand far from the water, you will see some trash. Restaurant here are good. Some are bad and the food are not delicious, but the most are good. I think the best restaurant here is Sóng Biển. I rate it 9.5/10. You should visit here!

I was on a tour with Vietnam vets. All of us were Marines and I remember going to Cua Viet beach as well as leaving Vietnam from there. I did not know you could drive there (in 1968-69 there were no roads) so we drove past the beach. I was impressed and recommend it. I remember the water being warm and the sand being hot. It's a great, uncrowded beach.

During the war we used to fly to this beach in Huey helicopters, land, and swim in the ocean at this remote, undeveloped white sand beach. Today it is still possible to have a serene, swim and walk along this wonderful stretch of beach which is not crowded. Often you may be the only folks in sight if you walk a ways north of the modern day concession area. Try it out!

The beach was not crowded, white sand, and friendly folks. There are stores nearby where you can buy food and snacks. We requested to cook fresh seafoods from the locals. Certainly, a good place to visit.

Cua Viet Beach on South China Sea is in Quang Tri province, not very far from the Quang Tri city. Dong Ha is the capital of the province but quite afar from the beach. It's a lovely beach where one can enjoy the sunrise and go for a swim. In the evening it buzzes with a lot of activities. You can sit leisurely at the sand or take a chair in one of the restaurants serving authentic local cuisine, mainly the seafood. Its serenity invites you.

I went here in summer holiday, there were many people too. Around this beach, there are many seafood restaurants with cheap price, about 300.000 - 400.000 VND / 2 people. Especially, let's enjoy the local food as "bánh lộc", "cháo bột cá", very tasty.
The beach is very clean with white blue.

So recommend this place :)

This beach is awesome - no tourists when we were there in early May, only locals. There are a few restaurant stands that serve delicious veggies and seafood. Cheap beer, awesome people, amazing views, refreshing sea. What more could you possibly want?? We took a cab from our Dong Ha hotel, so it was a bit pricey to get there... something like $10 -- each way! But it was worth it after our adventures inland along the DMZ. You could save money by a rented motorbike for the day for $4 or $5.

Many tourists visiting Vietnam come because of their interest in history, recent as well as ancient. Vietnam offers much more and increasingly people are enjoying Vietnam beaches as part of their itinerary. The white sand, clear blue water and gentle breezes make Cua Viet a place to spend some time simply relaxing.
