If you want to escape the madness of punta del este but enjoy some Uruguayan beaches this should work for you. Relaxing in the low season, but vibrant in the high (find a place away from downtown if you travel with small children or want to sleep more than a few hours every night)…

The village has small houses situated very near the sea, painted in different colors... It is like a "painting". You can only ear the sea and anything else... It's quite a unique place to relax and forget about material things. Ideal to spend one or two days for relaxing.
