Good for a little walk on a Sunday. Cafe on site if you get peckish. Good for kids as there's a park and good for dog walkers.

Amazing place, great for children of all ages. You can go for a walk around the river, or have a treat in the cafe, when you have had enough playing....

This is well maintained and good for a gentle stroll. Several paths to follow. Seats available if required. The cafe does snacks and drinks.

We love visiting Wyre Estuary, the kids love both the parks and running round the woods building dens! There's plenty of open fields for the kids to just run around and play and nice walks down the estuary. Its a great day out for families!

Nice little park close to a small coffee place to get a brew and cake/ice cream. Can get really busy though but would recommend this place.

This is a lovely walk by the river Wyre and there is loads of free parking. The path can get very muddy even in summer if it's been raining so it's best to wear wellies. You can walk all the way to Thornton Lodge pub...More

Beautiful walk along the estuary, check the tide times though as some of the paths are shut at high tide. Cafe is great for family and dogs.

I don't think there's a bus from Blackpool, though you could get bus 4, or 3 to cleveleys bus station then the bus from there into Thornton village, but not directly to estuary, I think it's the 74/75
