Gorgeous trail next to the inlet. Fairly easy walking with sandy beach and picnic tables at the end. Washroom is located in a building at the top of a hill above the beach. Parking at Port Moody rec centre/library. Park does change its name to Old Orchard, so it can be confusing.

My Mum and I have visited Rocky Point Park for many years, and you do see many people with children and teenagers also. It’s a beautiful place for walking, nature watching, light sports activities (tossing a ball around, nothing too aggressive) and there is an ice cream place and fish and chips restaurant; closer to the marina is a higher end restaurant. Due to COVID 19 they are practicing social distancing together with the local beer brewery/pubs nearby. For those bringing pets, do stay off the sandbars and keep them on a harness to protect the wildlife there. Bike trails, walking trails and dog park are there and it’s all easily accessible via skytrain, bus and some walking if you don’t drive. Here are a few photos, enjoy and stay safe all.

Enjoy this spot very much. Often end up here after a walk along Shoreline Trail, or after some business near Coquitlam City Hall. Great view and food (when open), plus the usual park amenities.
However, on a weekday afternoon, a bit disturbed to see such crowds - looked very close to me. (See my photos, judge for yourself). So - enjoy being with people? Go here. Concerned about Covid? Go somewhere else.

Picture yourself on a sunny morning, full of desire to spend an hour or so in the nature. If you are lucky to live nearby, all you have to do is come to the park and walk the trail around the inlet. It is 2.5 Km long one way and it is quite enjoyable. Many locals do that on a regular basis but it still does not feel busy.
Upon returning to the starting point, you must spend a few good minutes on the pontoon, basking in the sun. You can also sit and relax on the grass if you happen to carry a blanket or rest on one of the benches.
One visit there counts for a few rainy weeks. Enjoy!

Went last night. Got dinner from Smoke Dem Bones, belly rubber combo. $49. Ribs 8/10, were fal off the bone but could've used more sauce. Chicken 5/10, dry & over cooked. Brisket 6/10, average. Cornbread 9/10, yummy. Cheesy mac 2/10, basically Kraft Dinner. Value for what you get 4/10. maybe $20 worth of food for $49 😒

This time "people traffic" was much quieter due to the COVID restrictions. We love coming here to take in the sites & sounds of the nice park & boat launch. Takes some of the COVID stresses away!

Whatever the weather or season this area is a great way to spend a few hours or longer. Easy walking trails or just a stroll on the promenade. Free music festivals throughout the summer months are a relaxing way to spend a day on the grassy areas. In spring watch the families of canadian geese learning to swim and herons fishing.

Rocky Point Park is a lovely place to enjoy a waterfront walk. The path goes a long way, and we did a walk for about 1/2 of an hour and then retraced our steps. We could have gone a lot further. Need to go early, though, as there is limited parking, and in the summer is it VERY busy.
Lots of other things for a family with kids to do here...water park, green space to play, picnics, etc.

This park has plenty of activities including a children’s park, skateboard park, outdoor swimming pools, kayak rentals, walking trails, and boat launch. There’s even an off-leash park for your fur babies. I imagine it’s a beautiful area to sail your boat through the inlet for the day. You need is a day pass to launch your boat. A peaceful walk on a Fall day with a view of Burrard Inlet. It was my first time here and I enjoyed the walk through the Shoreline Trail. It’s an easy flat trail that is 6 km round trip. There are a few eateries around. We tried Pajo’s Fish and Chips and weren’t disappointed!

A nice getaway to learn more about our amazing local parks! Less than an hour from downtown Vancouver.

Beautiful scenic area a beach atone end of the trail and a pier at the other. Fabulous summer shows, bands and more. Rocky Point also has Paros, fish and chips, then dessert at Rocky Point ice cream. Right across the road is Brewery Road to finish off the day...and the food trucks come here for an evening snack. Love this place
