Well, I know it was lunchtime and right at the end of the season (mid September) but it was closed when we visited Savoca. I mention this since one of my very few complaints about Italy is that things are frequently closed with an apparent disinterest in the needs and time tables of tourists. Shame.

Beautiful city with Godfather movie sights

A nice walk through the town to the churches the panaroma sites and the places where Godfather was filmed. This small quaint town was struggling with ruins and limited jobs until tourism took place with Godfather movie. It was nice to see tourism provide jobs and money for repairs.

The tourist office/information center of the stunning village of Savoca is actually located on Via Pineta , just a couple minutes walk from Bar Vitelli . Make use of it . They are nice people .
