My wife and I saw the Devil’s Bridge as we traveled on the train to Ghivizzano from Pisa. Two days later we went to Borgo a Mozzano to see the Gothic Line Museum and the Devil’s Bridge. The architecture of the bridge is stunning. I was enthralled by the atmosphere of the bright colors of a brilliant autumn afternoon as we walked over the bridge and took a large number of photographs. It was very picturesque.

Amazing pictures in a tranquil area of the valley. 12 th century bridge worth a stop if you have a car.

US Memorial Day visit to the Gothic Line museum and German bunker tour and the Devil's bridge. The story of the bridge is local legend and was not destroyed in WWII. The WWII events in this small village as the Allies liberate the local town is heart warming. Learning of the resistance to the fascism is admirable. The movie The Miracle at St. Anna is a must see before visiting. The Buffalo Soldiers are highlighted, but the troops were from several countries. The museum is a labor of love for a local historian and a retired doctor. It is well off the beaten path, but worth the time!

While this bridge is undeniably historic and picturesque and worth the visit, it really is only at most a 30 minute visit. There is only one place to park, on the east side of the river (opposite side from the town of Borgo a Mazzano) to the south of the bridge. There is a bus stop there, so you could catch a bus from Lucca. But the buses from Lucca don't come very often so you might find yourself stuck after that. I took the train, and it is a couple km walk through the town from the train station, but a lovely walk and I made several stops to visit the sights. The bridge from the town side is obscured by the railroad tracks so no good photo ops on that side. By the time I finished with photos, I found the next bus north was in about 2 hrs! So definitely plan your time if you are taking public transport!

We caught the bus from Lucca, which only took around 35 minutes.
The bridge is very impressive and you do wonder how it has managed to remain in place with such a thin main span.
The background scenery on all sides is stunning, making every photo a winner, as it is up in the mountains seen to the north of Lucca.
The climb is long and steep from both sides of the bridge, being a challenge for those less than reasonably fit, but well worth the effort once you reach the top.
Well worth making the effort for a half day trip.

The whole area and setting is beautiful then you have this extraordinary bridge, something that must be seen to be believed, the medieval engineering is impressive, we were lucky to see a young couple use the bridge whilst getting married as a backdrop for their photographs, I’m sure the pictures will be fantastic.
I spent a good ten minutes with my husband on the bridge, no one else about to spoil the tranquility of our visit.
I would say it was quite romantic stood together relaxing and enjoying the views.

On our way towards the Grotta del Vento (Wind Cave) in Apuan Alps we stopped to have a short walk on this rock bridge which stretches above river Serchio (Fiume Serchio). Parking places are provided free of charge along the SS12 road where you can find also some taverns in case you decide for a longer stop. An tourist info point providing you information about the bridge and other interesting sites in the area is situated in the parking place.

Nice place to stop when you are passing.
Not realy worth a long detour.
Count 15min for the visit.
Make sure to get to the bridge on the Via del Brennero, here you can park your car. Tricky to park at the other side !!!

A throw back to when the Fiume Serchio was a navigable trade route for taller ships it would be a shame not to stop and take a stroll over this uniquely unusual bridge!

Dal paese di Brogo a Mozzano dista molto a piedi arrivare al ponte? È facilmente raggiungibile per chi si sposta con i mezzi?

il paesino di lucchio ha una rocca diroccata con una bella vista, oppure la fortezza delle verrucole con visita guidata altrettanto bella
