The gardens and statues are really beautiful and well-maintained. There are signs that say no cameras, but everyone is taking photos. Our kids loved it. I couldn't get over that... read more

I have wanted to visit here for a long time and it did not disappoint. The peace of the woods mixed with the quirky, fine and sometimes brutal sculptures are memorable. Spring is a good time to visit, before the leaves are out, you can see more of the statues. It really was a new experience. Try to get to... More

My fiancé and I stopped in this little town, Bomarzo, to see the Park of Monsters. The park opened at 8:30am and we arrived at 8, so to kill some time we went into a cafe in their tiny town for an espresso and quick bite. The locals were friendly and talkative and recommended some other sites for us as... More

This garden is one of those uniques parks Italy can offer. 37 huge figures are carved in the rock and placed in the nature. Very beautiful, a must for those who like places off the tourists' path. 10€ entrance. The park closes at the sunset. You will need about 2h to visit it. Nearby there are also some restaurants and... Rome means great food at every corner of the former capital of the world, so you might be intrigued why the hell somebody would think of a side trip from such a fantastic place. Yet many people do that to see also spetacular, but more-of-the-same attractions: Pompeii for more of Ancient Rome, Florence for more of the Renaissance, and so... More

The gardens and statues are really beautiful and well-maintained. There are signs that say no cameras, but everyone is taking photos. Our kids loved it. I couldn't get over that these statues are over 400 years old! By the way, there is a fee. I didn't know that. It was worth it though and I guess it goes to keep... More

A large park with around 25/30 statues and medieval architectural sculptures.. Easy to walk with hardly any real effort needed to climb up the one longer set of stairs. Odd shaped houses, elephants and monster type carvings around every corner. Very educational..

A must see if you're in the area and if it's good weather.... it's a good long walk around so wouldn't recommend to people with health problems. It's difficult to take a pram as a lot of it must be visited by foot and it's impossible with a pram to see it all

Stopped here near Viterbo, and had a very nice walk thru the forest. We arrived by car and had only one slight detour as we missed the turn off coming from the nearby town and drove on a few more KM till we realized we went too far. keep in mind in Italy we found that you can see signs... More

This park is situated in bomarzo, a little city near rome. It is possible to go there by car or by train. In this case i can suggest you to go in Orte station and then to take a bus (Cotral) for bomarzo ( the bus is not working on sundays and on other holiday days). Otherwise is possible to... More

We easily found this enchanting place. It was a warm but slightly wet day which was perfect for this magical place. The lush vegetation was every shade of green with the sound of water everywhere. As we walked through the tree lined paths with rain drops hanging from the leaves, the jewel colours of cyclamen popped up from the leafy... More
