Even if you've visited it before, a second visit will always be rewarding. The superb acoustics as well as the very well preserved construction, contributed to the creation of Epidaurus Festival S.A., an institution that contributed to the cultural revival of the theater. Visit the museum and the rest of the archaeological site.

The theater's acoustic is amazing! Even without absolute silence, you can hear a falling coin or someone at the top of the theater, whispering. Stunning and unrepeatable monument.

Definitely worth the trip from Athens to this ancient theater in the mountains. The monument is well preserved and has an amazing acoustics. You should stay right in the point from the middle of the stage and talk to "the audience". You will hear yourself as you hear your inner thoughts. Fantastic effect! (Similar to the Swarowski dome from their... More

I took the hotel bus tour and really enjoyed it. The acoustics are marvelous. You can hear little details of people speaking from the top. This is considered best enjoyed during a festival in the summer with plays and concerts to take advantage of the best acoustics in the world.

Easily the most stunning theater we visited, deserving of it's reputation. We sat in the highest seats and listened to a Frenchman recite poetry.

I visited the theatre for the second time, this time with my family. I wanted to write a spectacular advise for everyone to visit, but unfortunately I can't. The 26th of December is a day off for public servants here in Greece. It seems that Greeks are visiting the archeological places during working days and hours. Public servants .... you... More

If you are making the trip anywhere in Epidaurus you must go and see the theater at Epidaurus. The reconstruction of the theater area has created an area where you can fully experience the ancient sound amplification and this theater is still used for performances today. A must see.

The harmony and the suitable proportions of its measures make it the best and well preserved example of Greek architecture dealing with public buildings. Try to attend a performance here in order to listen to the wonderful echo in each single place...
