We were there by winter time. It was fascinating! The outside and the inside! You should try it . We reccomend it.

I have been there before as a kid and it was even better than I remember. Romania is such an amazing country, such a shame is so underrated. Can't wait to visit again, so much more to see

its a historic and must visit place, we love architecture, history and hospitality of people around. photography is not allowed, you have to pay for that. we have meet with a priest Mr. Radu, he is young and very helpful.

Our visiting timing was really bad. The monastery was full due to the Sunday mass and cannot really see much. It.s a free and accesibile location and the monastery park has two old churches that I am sure are worth visiting when it is not a mass.

The church is beautiful, especially from the inside, due to the beautiful wall paintings. We arrived there on a Sunday morning during mass, and there was a lovely chorus singing, which added a lot to the experience.

This monastery is located in Curtea De Arges town which you will cross while passing the southern part of the Trans-Fagarasen road. The church and the monastery are located in the same compound. The church is pretty impressive from the ourside but I wouldn't rank it as a must see. You can see the whole thing in 30 mins and... More

The church next to the monastery is what people visit snd it is one of the nicest orthodox churches in Vallachia. Some unusual and interesting details to be observed...
