Agonda Beach is just lovely. It's clean, wide, and very chilled out, with plenty of space to lie and not be bothered by people being too close to you. The beach is perfect for a daily walk/run, too. On our first day there, we saw...More

If you look for a small village with no big hotels or crowds, Agonda must be on your shortlist. It is toward the Southern end of Goa and is situated between two capes, one larger, Capa Rama, and a smaller one. This limits the possibilities...More

Agonda Beach is one of the rare solitary beaches in South Goa and is a far cry from its cousin, Palolem Beach, which sees a majority of tourists. A way of Caribbean culture seems to have swept over the place, with the locals often seen...More

Agonda is a quiet place, NOT for parties.

We will be staying on Agonda Beach this November with kids 9 and 11. We'd love to relax but also play in the waves. Does anyone know if there is a place to rent boogie board and are there waves to ride them on? I've read Agonda is a tranquil beach, but I'm trying a gauge if this translates to "bath tub-calm" water or if there are waves good for kids to play. Many thanks for any advice!
