About
We are a commercial dairy goat farm, opening our doors to the public. We milk our herd twice a day and use the milk for our hand crafted soap. We have 8 different breeds of goats, with a total herd of over 100. A miniature donkey, miniature horses, alpacas, kune kune pigs, a variety of hens, and we have bunnies to handle. Rain or Shine. Always check our website for the most current open hours. Thank you!
You can also book a bottle feeding tour from Tuesday to Sunday, a food tasting tour, or experience Goat Yoga every Sunday in July and August at 9am!

- Sara HDartmouth, Canada3 contributionsThe snuggliest goats ever!We just visited Island Hill Farm for our second time (the first was 3 years ago). This is a wonderful place to spend a few hours. It is a working farm, and not a petting zoo. You do not feed the animals. We've been to petting zoos, and the animals there ignore you if you don't have any feed to give to them. But here, they come to you for the cuddles! It is primarily a goat farm, but there is also a donkey, pigs, miniature horses, bunnies and alpaca. The goats are so sweet! They love being brushed and patted. There are young goats scampering about. We got to hold baby bunnies, and we were lucky enough to see a baby alpaca who had just been born an hour before we arrived. This place is absolutely adorable. Every staff member we spoke to was wonderful. We felt like we were treated as family friends. Several of them spent a lot of time with us answering questions and educating us about the animals. The staff love these animals. They are proud of them and can't wait to show them to you. As mentioned, a baby alpaca was born the day we went and the atmosphere amongst the staff was pure joy as they welcomed in a new member of their family. There is a cafe on site with delicious baked goods, lunch items and ice cream. The butter tarts were our favorite! There is an on -site shop where they sell goat milk soap, which we had before and really enjoyed so we loaded up before we left. I've seen complaints about the cost of admission. It still costs less per person than the price of a movie with a snack combo and you get so much more out of it! I can not imagine what it must cost to run a place like this. We visited with our two children (10, and 15) and everyone had a wonderful time. We were happy to pay to share in a piece of it for a while.Visited September 2022Written September 3, 2022
- Jenna Lane5 contributionsExcellent Staff and Great Farm ExperienceMy husband and I went here with our children (ages 6 and 9). What a great farm! The staff were excellent and always educating us on the different animals at every opportunity. The barn is pretty much open so visitors can pickup, brush, touch, and interact with most animals. It’s more than a petting zoo - it really takes the interaction to another level! The kids participated in the “goat run” led by Farmer Flory, which was so much fun for them, and for me to watch. We enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream at the cafe and then browsed in the shop. Lots of beautiful handmade products. The big white (real live) bunny in the shop was also adorable. There really are animals everywhere at Island Hill Farm! Farmer Flory was wonderful and so were all the staff! Encouraging interaction with the animals while explaining details and teaching us about the farm. I’ve never had a barn/farm animal experience like this. There was also live music that started about half way through our visit. It was wonderful and totally set the mood for barn exploration. This is a great family experience for ALL Ages!Visited July 2021Travelled with familyWritten July 18, 2021
- NeilMassey Drive, Canada52 contributionsGreat experience!!We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Island Hill Farm!! There are so many goats, chickens and other animals. Gavin the donkey even rolled in the dirt. They have done a great job with investing in their business and have created a fun and relaxing environment for their guests. We enjoy their home made goat soap (scent free for me and many scents to offer for my three girls aged 11, 10 and 6) and this time I treated myself with a shaving bowl. They aren’t always available, because chickens can only make so many eggs, but we managed to luck into some fresh eggs from their Silkie Chickens. The animals are so friendly, and Flory and the staff are really nice and helpful. Keep up the excellent work and we’ll see you next time!!!!Visited July 2021Travelled with familyWritten July 28, 2021

I never thought I'd hug a cow. A lone young male calf (a big boy) was looking at all the people going by and I just had to stop to visit. This big boy was obviously lonely as he rested his head against my chest while I petted his head and neck. It was the highlight of the trip for me. I would go back and do this farm visit again - the air was so clean and the view breathtaking (this is coming from a city girl).

So, I was looking forward to this the most out of the family. This farm was amazing, staff were very friendly and the goats were incredible. The goats were so friendly and could not get enough love and affection. They just follow you around for more pets. My sons loved the bunnies and getting to hold them. We paid extra to feed the baby goats/sheep. Well worth the money...I havent seen my kids smile so much as they fed their goats. My husband and I even got to milk a goat (boys not interested). Whenever we return to PEI, I will go again. Definitely our favorite attraction of our trip.

We were greeted by Flory and given the overlay of the farm.
The entire staff and animal friends were all friendly. Feeding the baby goats and sheep was a highlight.
We spent three hours on the farm enjoying the relaxing, welcoming environment.
A place where children can explore.
The Farm also has a small shop where you can purchase their soaps and other items, and a Cafe to indulge your love of ice cream.

I absolutely love every minute I was there!!! The staff is super friendly and they have lots of knowledge!! Was so fun to had a chance to bottle feed a baby goat!! I learned a lot there and I have to say it worth it to take time to go… always have staff around to answer any questions and they are really enjoying to share their knowledge… you can obviously see how much they love and care about those animals!! I unfortunately don’t remember the name of the girl who was in charge for the bottle feeding time… but I have to say I really appreciated the fact she stayed around to give me more info about the goats… she knows the name of each one! I never feel rushed… She is a passionate and she loves the goats I was lucky chat with her… Thank you for the great afternoon

We really enjoyed our visit to Island Hill Farm. We did the bottle feeding of the baby goats and lambs and it was adorable. The staff are wonderful - incredibly well informed and engaging. The story about the crazy spitting llama was hysterical. There are darling bunnies to hold and miniature horses, too. My son (who wasn’t sure he really wanted to come) didn’t want to leave when it was time to meet family at the beach!

What a perfect experience. From story time and charmingly gentle farm animals to walking in the fields with four legged friends and great local products, we loved every minute of the visit. We were three adults and a 2 year old - I’m not sure who had more fun! We paid extra to feed the baby goats, which was a great add on filled with smiles. We’ll be back.

We are coming by cruise ship on October 11, 2018. Will you be open for visitors and how far are you from the cruise terminal? How would you suggest getting to your farm? It’s just me and my husband. 2 seniors from San Diego, CA. First time on your island. Thanks for answering my questions. Karin
