If you’re visiting the RSPB reserve nearby then just cross the road and spend an hour here too - it’s more of the same in a dog-free environment where birds, otters and all sorts of wildlife can be observed in peace and quiet.

Excellent paths and walkways with beautiful views of the lakes and bird life. Many of the paths are suitable for bicycle and wheelchairs.

This is a lovely reserve when you have found it. It would be helpful if there were road signs directing you. Having got there it is a magical place and you need a long time to experience it.

From here you can walk all the way on the old railway line to Glastonbury. Should you have the stamina. Flat walking along the old canal, past reed beds full of water birds. A lovely easy walk.

You can take them so far but there are parts where dogs are not allowed .The board at the beginning of the walk will tell you where.
