When you first arrive in Kouklia you feel that the place is abandonned but the archeological parc is really interesting. The medieval manor / museum at the end brings all the informations you need. Bonus for the staff which is really welcoming and ready to explain everything.

We turned up here by mistake instead of the birthplace of Aphrodite! The most prominent feature is a medieval manor. I most strongly recommend you start here and in particular with the English language video on the right of the manor entrance. This excellent production puts the worship of Aphrodite and her sanctuary into context and explains the development of... More

This extensive historical site has thousands of years of history, and the ruins span a huge area with sweeping views of the sea. Worth visiting just for the views you get, not to mention the interesting history. You could spend an hour here or all day here, depending on your interest in the museum. The underground temple is particularly amazing.

The site itself is extensive, but has easy access to all areas, could do with more information signsas you walk round. The museum in the old Manor House is very interesting, but not the easiest to get into if, like me, you have a bit of trouble walking - ramp up to the exhibit is cobbled - but on the... More

With so many magnificent site to visit, it is easy to become blase about yet another set of ruins but this one has special significance. There are more spectacular sites such as Kourion and Paphos but the Sanctuary is well worth the the hour or so that it takes to wander around the site and understand its significance. The museum... Like quite a few we found this by chance. This is a beautifully maintained archeological site. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We strolled around the site finding well written signs describing what you were seeing. Beautiful atrifacts which you can photgraph. The guard on duty was very helpful and knowledgable and you could see his enthusiasm and pride for his... More

Found this site quite by chance whilst on our way to Kourion. What a wonderful surprise! The ruins were great -ok, not as much so as the famous park in Paphos but, great to just wander and also take in the views. A smashing museum and very reasonable entrance fee. All was great but highlights for us? Watching the Cypriot... More

It was about 2010 but I didn't use trip advisor then, a nice little museum here with some interesting artefacts and information about them and the area. Access for disabled was poor then, obviously unsure if it's changed?

Thank David D
