Great tour spot

I always like to see local sites. This place is charming to walk through with tropical plants, artsy decor and history - the homemade punch delicious.

The garden is very beautiful with lots of native species. The host is very knowledgeable with great people skills. Phillip is a very friendly guy and he takes the time to make guests feel at home. He's doing a lot of good for the island

Tour was great! The owner even waited 30 minutes for us as we were picking up a couple from the cruise terminal (who were delayed). Beautiful home, wonderful grounds. Delicious rum punch and even received a second complimentary one at the end!!! As a former Ross grad, I'll be back and take you up on that private Blue Anchor opening... More

We signed up for one of their tours (plantation island escape) that took us not just to Clay Villa but also around the whole island! Got picked up from hotel (which is good because you wont find Clay Villa by driving around or on gps). It was a great way to see the island, learn some history, and find out... More

Dec. 9th, 2012 my wife & I were on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Southern Caribbean. We booked, in advance, an excursion to Clay Village Plantation in St. Kitts. Our hosts were the owners, Phil & Bridget. Phil is from England while Bridget is a native Carib Islander. This combination of personalities made our tour absolutely charming. Be advised... More

I love Clay Villa. Clay Villa is a very nice place filled with tropical plants and animals. The vegetation makes the area nice and calm and majestic. There are little animals in there such as monkeys and parrots, and fish and sharks. The place is also filled with history because it is history. There is an old remnant of part... More

We visited Clay Plantation as part of a cruise ship excursion, with a group of about 15 people. We were not sure what to expect, so we went in with an open mind. The Villa is living history in its own way - not a reconstructed snapshot of the past, like Williamsburg, but a home that has accumulated stuff over... More

Don't miss this tour while on St. Kitts. The owners are very friendly and give a tour of the gardens and house. Fascinating historical information of the plantation is included. You will see a uniquely designed house, many beautiful plants and fruit trees, some rescued animals (including monkeys and parrots), lovely antiques, collectibles, and whimsical statues. The handpainted murals are... More

Philip was very gracious to allow my two daughters and I to tour the grounds of this beautiful place. And what a beautiful place it is. Most important, Philip and Bridget have rescued vervet monkeys and other wonderful creatures that would have surely perished, victims of unscrupulous men who capture the animals when they are babies and used them to... Philip and Bridget, owners of the Clay Villa plantation house and gardens, were wonderful hosts on our tour of the property. Even though we had called at kind of the last minute, they graciously got things in order for us to tour the next day. The house and gardens are beautiful, and Philip provided a great overview of the history... More
