We were only able to get one day in on this trip (we have biked the trail before) and chose to get altitude bikes to pick us up in Alexandra and drop us to Auripo (and we biked back). This 50 km ride includes many of the great features of the trail; stunning vistas, great cafe (Lauder) tunnels viaducts but... More

Booked my activity via 'Shebikeshehikes' and am happy with the service and itinerary provided which eased my planning for the cycling portion of my trip. The trail requires a decent amount of fitness as you will need to cycle quite a distance uphill but you will be rewarded with an easy downhill ride after the initial hardwork, the trail itself... A great family friendly trip. We went through shebikeshebikes, and they were fantastic - organised everything from the bikes, accommodation, bag transport and travel to and from the trail. My wife particularly enjoyed all the coffee shops, my sons picked up lots of geocaches. Easy riding, a great range of accommodation and we met many interesting people. Loved it.

We used Shebikeshebikes Company to supply our bikes and book our accommodation as well as transport of bags from one stay to another. From our initial enquiry to our final drop off service, this company were most efficient, friendly, thorough and a pleasure to deal with. The level of their service would be hard to beat. We did the ride over... More

In November my husband and I did a 3-day trip on the Otago trail with hebikeshebikes. It was a fantastic trip. The pre-trail communication and preparation was fantastic, we knew we were go to be well looked after. The accommodation was wonderful (we went for the mid-range accommodation plan), the restaurants we ate at were excellent and the trail was... More

We had 2 families with 4 adults & 4 kids (8-11) in total and had an amazing holiday. From all the cute old pubs & hotels to the lovely cafes to keep you going. Scenery is stunning and the ride really manageable. Kids loved all the tunnels & bridges.

We went for a 30km, one-day trip to the Poolburn Viaduct and what a trip it was. We rented our bikes from Shebikeshebikes. There are a number of bike operators along the Central Otago Rail Track, but look no further. They not only provided the bikes, but did all the planning for us. Great communications that helped us save so... More

I'm not an experienced cyclist so was amazed at myself. The scenery while cycling is great so different from rocky gullies to gorges to green valleys, tunnels & viaducts. The towns are cute, the pubs are great. I did it over 4 days so plenty of time to have a good look around each place. You can buy a passport... More

Easy riding through stunning scenery - what more could a family ask for! This is a brilliant way to see a unique part of NZ. The ride is suitable for people of any skill level with maybe up to 4 hrs easy riding a day so plenty of time to lie by streams and absorb the scale of the surroundings

I did the bike trail in 3 days over the new year period. The team at Bike It Now made things super easy from start to finish. We were given a warm welcome and fantastic information to make our trip even more enjoyable. The bikes were top notch, as were all the accommodation we were booked into. We wanted to... More
