Great Hike in the woods with an awesome waterfall! The walk to the falls is short, but you can continue on if you want. It's a nicely made trail, it's well maintained, has a parking lot and I think a porta potty. The fall is amazing! You can see it well from above and if you want to go down, there's a rope to help you climb down and back up. My husband said it was slippery. I didn't go down. He thinks I made the right decision. He is more athletic than me. It's free to go.

Just a nice place to visit, you can see the waterfall from far though, no way to get close to it. You can take a walk in the woods or have a picnic, but it's a good place to visit if you're passing by.

We loved the Hoggs Falls. At first we hiked.

There was a lot of water. It looked like a river.

We took our time to enjoy!

No one was here.

However we had a good time to visit the Hoggs Falls

So happy we made a point of stopping on the way home. The parking is free with enough space for about 12 cars. There is a porta potty on site. Free camping is allowed as it’s crown land. A short 5 minute walk led us to the beautiful falls. Some climb down to swim or take photos, but it didn’t appear to be safe.

This is a nice place to spend a day & relax. There are trails connecting to the Bruce trail and plenty of spaces for a little picnic, you can get down to the bottom of the fall and have a swim too. We would definitely visit this place again. The Eugenia falls is also close by

Hoggs Falls located on Lower Valley Road in Grey County is a must-see of the many waterfalls found in the area. Located just a short distance from the hamlet of Flesherton, Hoggs Falls should be a go-to stop for individuals and family's as well.

There is a small parking lot, and the falls are a short hike of several hundred metres to the north. Simply follow the signs. There is also an information board that provides a bit of history of the falls. In the fall of 2019, a new set of steps was constructed near the parking area to make getting up a short, but steep incline much easier.

Hoggs Falls also comprises a section of the world-famous Bruce Trail through this area.

The falls are easily viewed from the top, but there has been in the past a rather "sketchy rope" used to climb down the rock face near the bottom of the falls. This should be done "at your own risk." The walls of the rock face and river bottom are constantly wet and slippery. So, use caution, please.

Last time we visited, I believe that there was a portable toilet located in the parking area. But, I'm not sure of it there all of the time.

A great place to stop when you're out in this area. You could visit for just a few minutes or make it your starting location for a longer day hike along the Bruce Trail.

Hoggs Falls loop (connected to the Bruce Trail) is a fantastic moderate hike around 5.7km. The Falls are beautiful but the rest of the trail provides a variety of interesting terrain. We did the hike in mid-October so the foliage was exceptional but we will definitely come back again in late Spring. It is very hilly and the damp leaves made some areas slippery and some parts of the trail were boggy - to be expected at this point in the Autumn - so good hiking shoes are a must. As much as my husband & I enjoyed the walk, our Golden, Max, enjoyed it ten times more! It is a great hike and worth driving out of your way to do.
