Beautiful views but definitely challenging, I would recommend starting out before 8:30. If your resort is in Rodney Bay you don’t need a guide, the trail is easy to find. You can walk to the end of the beach right behind Marie’s Fish Shack.
Do wear good hiking shoes and plan for 90 minutes.
It was hazy the day we hiked but the views are still spectacular.

Head to Reduit beach and turn left. The trail starts just behind the beach shack. There's a no entry sign that most people ignore. This leads to a wide rough trail so wear good strong shoes like trainers not flip flops or sandals Take water too. This took us about 2 hrs round trip from the trail start. The trail leads up to a gazebo and lovely viewpoint. The gazebo belongs to a company doing Segway tours. To your left you'll see banisters heading up a steep slope to a lovely pool full of small fish. From here the trail gets steeper and rougher. The hard part starts with four ropes to haul yourself up the 55 degree (approx) slippery rock face. After that it's a slow climb making sure you get good footing and hand holds up to the summit! I'm 64 and had an operation a month before this so it took me about 30-40 minutes to the top. The view is great from Rodney bay in the North you can also see Martinique and Castries in the south. Be very careful going back down as there are many slippery bits and it's easy to lose the trail on some of the twists and turns.

We walked to this hike from Bay Gardens Hotel. We did have a guide (David - he was our water taxi driver to Pigeon Island) but you don't really need one - although the path is steep and can be very muddy and slippery after a rain, so if you aren't a confident hiker, having a guide is nice (and you can support some local entrepreneurs!). We reached the top in about 45min from the base, so you can do this hike before breakfast (and that's a good time to do it as it gets hot quickly!). Wear hiking shoes or sneakers not flip flops. You may need to use ropes and scramble a bit.

Fun and easy hike. No guide required. Just follow the trail. Fantastic views! There are ropes to assist if needed.

Lots of birds and wildlife to see and views were spectacular. Will need your hiking shoes but the trail is suitable for most people.

Fun hike that starts out as an uphill walk and turns to a more moderate climb that can be assisted with ropes. Our guide Jeanaii made us feel safe and provided us with a lot of history through out the hike. He definitely brought the island spirit and good vibes making the hike that much more enjoyable.

We did this walk ourselves. We downloaded the route from Google maps before we left our villa. You don’t need a guide. The route involves 5 rope climbs to assist with the rocky steepness near the top so best done in closed shoes. Brilliant views from the top but no shade up there. Take lots of water!

We wanted a small experience that didn’t take up our entire day, This was perfect and beautiful! We felt safe, and our tour guide was amazing! So informative and went above and beyond for us. You will need tennis shoes, it is definitely a hike and challenging but so worth it and so fun! Our tour guide was Jeanaii and he was so calm and informative, we highly recommend!

Fun hike, was a nice half day getaway from laying around at the resort. Took about two hours round trip with two breaks. Not too difficult for a twenty something with hiking shoes. I highly recommend King as your tour guide, he was great. Bring lots of water!

My husband and I wanted to do a hike in St. Lucia that was a little challenging but not over the top and relatively close to where we were staying. This hike did not disappoint. King was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable about the island and was super helpful during the steeper parts of the hike. This hike was so worth it to see the beautiful 360 view of the northern part of the island. Make sure to ask for King as your tour guide. He is the best!
